3 Simple & Chic Summer Outfits For That Work For Work
The French have undeniable great style but it’s not just restricted to their closets. Peek into the bathroom cabinet of any French girl, or any girl that ever went to France for that matter, and you will find a bottle of this magical cleansing water - Bioderma Sensibio H2O. A couple of swipes of a cotton pad soaked in the misceller water and these tiny oil particles (suspended in soft water), act like a magnet to dirt, oil and make-up (including waterproof mascara) and poof you have instantly clean but not dry or irritated skin. Thanks to the formulas being so mild and gentle, it’s great for almost any skin type but it’s especially good for dry (me!!) or sensitive (me!) skin. Bonus: There is no need to wash it off as it leaves behind no residue. Awesome when you have no time (me!) However, when I do have time I prefer to treat it as a first step to removing make-up before beginning my nightly regime. I also use it in the morning to prep my skin so my makeup goes on more smoothly including my 'oh so French' red lippy!
I was recently in California on a press trip and found myself sitting next to the Editor-in-chief of Gardenista (sister site to Remodelista), Michelle Slatalla, at lunch. Not only was Michelle amazing company but she also mentioned her newly launched book, Gardenista: The Definitive Guide to Stylish Outdoor Spaces. As an enthusiastic gardener, if not a particularly successful one, I ordered it immediately and was delighted to discover on its arrival, the loveliest of garden books! Full to the brim with gorgeous gardens from LA to London, Gardenista is both a perfect starting point with DIY ideas and all-in one manual when questions arise. I also felt like it truly spoke to me as opposed to a typical garden book that assumes you're a gardening genius. So whether you have a new, or old, garden or merely inspire to have one, this is the book for you. It's also the perfect gift for the holidays.
