Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini's Fall 2016 was in short wonderful! The collection evoked the 70's and 80s New Romantic era, think lace and leather wrapped up in a bow, and according to the designer "a mash-up of Princess Diana and Siouxie Sioux". And the colour that stole the show? Yes, well no prizes there: Red! Cue how do I incorporate this bold hue into my wardrobe?!!
How to Wear Red: If you're nervous about it then I suggest you start small with accessories: red lipstick, red boots, red bag and pair with easy black pieces. Maybe your favourite pair of black high waisted jeans (or leather pants) and a cute lace top? For the more advanced, well I don't need to tell you except maybe wear your hair loose and easy vs slick Robert Palmer style. And remember this look is all about staying ultra feminine whilst wearing kick arse red!
I'm so sick of this freezing cold and gloomy weather and having to layer myself up in warm and practical pieces ughhhh Elizabeth and James's new pre-fall 2017 collection felt like a breath of fresh air when I clicked on Vogue Runway today. Clean, easy and effortless essentials with a fresh twist that got me super excited for a warmer season. I can see myself quite clearly in look 1: A black one shouldered maxi dress paired with comfy and cool sandals for day and then I'd simply pop on a pair of open toe mules and long dangly earrings for evening and maybe one of their delicious grey sweaters in case it's a little chilly (I'm always cold). Cocktail in hand I am practically summer ready no?
There's so much pink trending for Pre-Fall 2017 (thank you Gucci) that it's worth putting in some practice now (and also taking full advantage of the new year sales!).
First and only rule of Pink Club: Do not wear pink head to toe unless you are auditioning for the latest Disney princess role. But one pink piece whether its a pastel statement coat or a more subtle candy clutch is pink perfection. Stick to clean fuss free silhouettes and pair this sugary hue with neutrals (grey, white, cream, camel, navy), mustard and denim. Sweet!

The secret to the perfect dancing shoes? A Platform. The disco loving women (and men!) of the seventies were not wrong with their fancy footwear. With this season's spotlight stealing shoe on my feet not only am I able to throw awesome shapes on the dance floor(!) but due to their extreme comfort and the words of Elton John, "I'm still standing".

Victoria Beckham's Pre-fall 2017 collection was, in the words of Vogue Runway, "an über-chic wardrobe" and one I definitely wouldn't mind owning! Each trend presented (pink plaid, ribbed knit dresses) felt like they would blend effortlessly into your own closet.
Style Takeaways: The Simple Colour and Texture Pairings:
Pink Coat + Camel-y Brown Turtleneck; Floral Dress + Fur Bag; Red Silk Collarless Shirt + Camel-y Brown Asymmetric Dress. Black Wool Dress + Blue Heels
The love of animal print runs deep in my family; Everyone from my daughter (she even has a leopard print blankie) to my Grandma, holds it in high regard. It is also the print that NEVER goes out of style and rather conveniently pairs perfectly with timeless denim.
'Borrowed from the boys' is a style I will never tire of. It's also the perfect look to wear for dropping my little girl to school (gotta love a stylish flat!) and then departing directly for work. Chic and practical.
I love Resort season. Not because I've booked a plane ticket to a hot destination (sadly) but because it's where most designers often exhibit their most creative yet wearable clothing (it's also the season that stays in stores the longest - so the durability is not a coincidence). Céline Resort 2017 is, as usual, wonderfully inspiring and will no doubt find itself into many a designers mood board or hopefully my closet! I love the puff sleeves, cut-outs and clean lines.
