I love a floral dress and I also love getting more seasonal mileage out of clothing (who doesn't!). Luckily the floral dress is made for 'winterizing' with a few easy styling tricks. See below!
Style Tip 1:
Opt for a Darker Floral Palate: It's naturally more transitional and will pair nicely with other winter friendly colours.
*Add a rock n roll edge with a leather jacket and metallic boot.
Style Tip 2:
Add texture and layers: A turtleneck is really the perfect foundation piece, not only will it keep you super warm but it will naturally keep your look more seasonally appropriate. Complete the look with a glamorous furry coat
*As you know I have a deep love of leopard and consider it a neutral but if mixing prints is one step too far then substitute for a solid brown cream or black fur coat (seen below)
Floral silk dress: Rebecca Taylor | Black fur coat: Zara | Blue velvet clutch : Kate Spade | Gold locket necklace: Macys | Highland stretch-suede over-the-knee boots: Stuart Weitzman | Oval buckle leather belt: Halogen
Style Tip 3:
Belt and boot it: Both accessories will easily add a winter look to your floaty florals. Boots can be ankle length or over the Knee depending on your preference.
*Velvet accessories add a lovely texture and gives a fab hint of the Boho 70s.
