The high waist crop denim jean has quickly become one of my favourite styles. High waisted = longer legs. Cropped = Shows tiny ankles/smallest part of body (outside of fingers!) = AWESOME
How to style them?
Style tip 1.
Tuck your top in! This will highlight the higher waisted silhouette = longer legs. It doesn't even have to be a big tuck, it could be a cheating half tuck, right in the middle, just so the waist is peaking out and saying "hey! wow my legs are so long!".
Drew small leather burgundy and blue shoulder bag: Chloe | Blue ruffle button down shirt: Zara | Black leather moto jacket: Anine Bing | Black ankle bootie: Zara | Stove pipe denim jean: Rag & Bone/denim
Style tip 2:
Keep it simple. This really isn't a rule, more like my personal preference. But I just love classics: Striped tops, Turtlenecks, Button down shirts, White t's.. as they tend to work every time and when you have no time (i.e. two kids) you need all the help you can get! P.s. Leopard print counts as a basic in my book!
Style tip 3:
Ankle booties. Ok so I can freely admit that in the images of moi above, my feet are absolutely bloody freezing, as a kitten heeled mule in winter is clearly bonkers. Soooo, opt for the bootie, which compliments these ankle baring cropped jeans perfectly. I love snakeskin, but really any colour or print works it's the shape you need.
